For each individual, the process of counseling starts with creation of a safe and nonjudgmental space that can foster growth and healing. Areas of clinical interest include: anxiety, depression, mood disorders, life transitions, chronic diseases, relationship struggles, losses, trauma, PTSD, and grief. My treatment modalities include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, and others, as appropriate.  In particular, my work with children often incorporates play therapy or sand tray therapy.

With the focus of therapy being on a better understanding of oneself and working together toward resolution of each person’s concerns, Leah provides an open and collaborative place for clients to explore ways of changing and to learn healthier ways of coping by becoming aware of and making connections between our thoughts, our behaviors, and how we feel physically and emotionally.
